It’s clear that the craft beer industry is brewing in Northeast Minneapolis.

To keep up with all the demand, Dangerous Man plans to expand in an adjacent space to increase production.

The brewery at 1300 2nd St. NE plans to expand with an additional 1,600-square-foot space at 1304 2nd St., which is adjacent to its 3,200-square-foot facility, according to plans submitted to the city.

Two-thirds of the space would be devoted to six additional fermenters to add variety to its beer lineup and keep up with demand, while the remaining space would be for a retail area for 64-ounce growlers.

The space, dubbed the Dangerous Man Growler Shoppe, would offer guests the ability to fill their growlers and to purchase pre-filled growlers.

The Minneapolis City Planning Commission will have a public hearing on the plans during its April 13 meeting.
