Police filed murder charges against a 21-year-old man in the Aug. 29 shooting death of Darius Ormond Miller.
Police said numerous parties were assaulting Miller on a landing in front of Whispers, 418 3rd Ave. N., when the suspect came from across the street and shot Miller in the head.
Homicide investigators interviewed several witnesses and used surveillance video to bring the charges.
The suspect is in custody for murder in the second degree at the Hennepin County Adult Detention Facility, and his bail is set at $1 million.
