Minneapolis Parks Foundation names new executive director


Tom Evers has been hired as the new executive director of the Minneapolis Parks Foundation (MPF).

Evers worked for the Trust for Public Land for more than 10 years, and before that he served four years as a Vermont park ranger. Most recently he was the founding executive director of Playworks Minnesota, a non-profit dedicated to improving children’s health by creating opportunities for physical activity and safe, meaningful play.

Evers received his bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University and a master’s degree in Public Affairs from the University of Minnesota.
