Learn personal safety tips from the Minneapolis Police Department

The Minneapolis Police Department 2nd Precinct and Budo Martial Arts will hold a free personal safety workshop on Monday, Oct. 15. Held at Budo Martial Arts, 1101 Stinson Blvd NE, the workshop will instruct participants in simple physical self-defense technique and tips on how to avoid confrontations. Personal safety educator and consultant Mary Brandl of Be Pro Safe will lead the workshop, which will also cover how body language, eye contact and tone of voice can diffuse dangerous situations.
