The City Council is holding a public hearing Wednesday, March 5 at 10 a.m. to give people a chance to offer feedback on the Council's proposed vision, goals for the next four years.
The Council's Committee of the Whole discussed the proposed "Vision, Values, Goals and Strategic Directions" report Feb. 19. It outlines a series of aspirational goals for the city, including making all neighborhoods safe, eliminating racial disparities, creating a hub of economic activity and innovation, protecting the environment and ensuring city government runs well.
The city is collecting online comments about the strategic vision through March 14. Feedback can be sent to email@example.com.
The Council's Committee of the Whole is scheduled to vote on the strategic vision March 26. It will guide the Council's work through 2017.
Council Vice President Elizabeth Glidden (Ward 8) and John Quincy (Ward 11) are holding a community meeting Feb. 28, 7:30 a.m.–9 a.m., at Turtle Bread, 4726 Chicago Ave. S., to discuss the proposed strategic vision.
