Two students, Nina Hagen and Matthew Hines, from DeLaSalle High School, 1 DeLaSalle Dr., are Semifinalists in the 2003 National Merit Scholarship Competition.
National Merit Semifinalists are picked from the top 1 percent of Pre-Stanford Achievement Test (PSAT) scores of college bound high school seniors in the state.
In order to compete for 8,000 national scholarships, students must complete an extensive application process.
