Architectural Antiques to move

Architectural Antiques, 607 Washington Ave. S., will move just across the Mississippi River to northeast Minneapolis. The move begins in mid-June. The new store will be near the intersection of Central Avenue and Broadway Street on Quincy Street. Doors will open to the public at the end of August.

General manager Jocelyn Bagge said her company decided to switch locations after receiving a lucrative offer on their building from a New York-based company looking to put condominiums on the current location. Bagge said that the new location will be better because Architectural Antiques' merchandise can be on one floor instead of two. She added, "We're the kind of store where no matter where we are, people will seek us out and find us."

Architectural Antiques carries salvaged materials, such as doors and windows from homes, churches or other buildings. The store will remain open at the Washington Avenue location until the end of August.
