The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency is holding a public comment session on possible re-use of a Superfund site at 129 Plymouth Ave. N. in North Loop. The meeting will be held on Monday May 13, 4:30-6:30 p.m. at De La Salle High School, 1 De La Salle Drive on Nicollet Island.
The site is primarily contaminated with lead and has been fenced off since 1985. An MPCA spokesperson said much clean-up has been done and ground water samples indicate that current metal levels don't exceed health risk standards.
MPCA will accept public comments through June 4. Written comments should be submitted to: Nile Fellows, MPCA - Majors and Remediation Division, 520 Lafayette Road North, St. Paul, Minnesota 55155-4194. You can also call Nile Fellows for more information at (651) 296-7299.
