Women Who Cook! sing to benefit pregnancy prevention

Women Who Cook!, featuring local singing stars Prudence Johnson, Mary Jane Alm and Jearlyn Steele, will headline a Thursday May 9 benefit for the Minnesota Organization on Adolescent Pregnancy, Prevention and Parenting (MOAPPP), at The Quest Club, 110 N. 5th St., 6-9 p.m. MOAPPP is an advocacy, awareness and training group on teen pregnancy, prevention and parenting issues.

The benefit will be the Women Who Cook's 20th Anniversary concert. The event also features Women Who Really Cook!, showcasing some of the top female chefs in the Twin Cities. Mayor R.T. Rybak will be on hand to welcome the crowd. Benefit tickets are $75 per person and can be reserved at 651-644-1447.
