The City Planning Department will hold a public meeting on Thursday April 18 to provide information and get feedback about growth plans for Downtown East and North Loop.

The latest visions will be on display from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Currie Maintenance Facility at North 12th Street and Currie Avenue. People can also view a PowerPoint presentation at either 4:30 p.m. or 6 p.m.

"We'll be looking into urban design proposals like parks, plazas, potential development scenarios," said city planner Jack Byers. "We'll also be looking at potential changes to the city's regulatory framework."

The Downtown East and North Loop master plan will guide growth related to the onset of light rail in those sections of Downtown.
