The other side of tall towers
In regards to the proposed "Bridge Place Residences" (Skyway News, July 21-27):
The article stated that Bridge Place [a proposed 39-story condo development at 3rd Avenue South and 2nd Street with eight units per floor] "will threaten fewer river front views."
This shocked me because it didn't sound as though any consideration was taken for those of us living across the river. We bought a condo over here mainly for the spectacular "view" of the river and cityscape.
I'm nervous that a 39-story building will not only block my view of the wonderful Wells Fargo building, the equally impressive Opus building and others, but devalue my property as well.
I can't imagine going ahead with a project before analyzing its impact on other city dwellers besides those directly adjacent to it.
