The Hot Summer Jazz Festival is looking for volunteers to participate in the Twin Cities\' largest free jazz festival June 26-29.

The festival, which will take place outdoors at Peavey Plaza, 12th Street and Nicollet Mall, is a community partnership from non-profits, schools, the faith community and Hennepin County staff. In addition to the free festival will be Jazz Night Out, a Thursday night fundraiser to benefit the Twin Cities Habitat For Humanity and Project for Pride in Living. Friday, Saturday and Sunday events are free.

Individuals are needed for the Hot Summer Jazz Information Booth. They are also needed to put out chairs and tables Thursday, June 26, at 8 a.m. and to set up booths on Saturday morning, June 28, for the Chicago-Franklin Arts Collective and the 26th Street Arts Project. (Project artists, who suffer from disabilities and are clients of Hennepin County, will be selling their work.) The fest needs volunteers Sunday to help take down the event.
