Two hundred artists will display and sell original works during the 9th annual Stone Arch Festival of the Arts at St. Anthony Main Saturday-Sunday, June 14-15, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. each day.
Paintings, sculptures, jewelry, photography and more will jazz up the Mississippi riverside. More than 150 vintage cars will also be on display. Additional attractions include outdoor concerts, street performers and artist demonstrations. Children can participate in art activities in Father Hennepin Bluffs Park (on the St. Anthony side of the bridge), and families can sculpt buildings with clay. Admission is free.
The festival highlights the historic Stone Arch Bridge that has inspired artists for nearly 120 years with its dramatic views of St. Anthony Falls and the emerging Downtown skyline.
The Minneapolis Riverfront Arts and Events Committee hosts the festival. For more information, call the public information hotline at 378-1226.
