According to senior regional director of operations Steve Henderson, the upgrade will allow staff to transform the ice rink into an open event space in a short amount of time. The rink will reopen Nov. 16, 2003.
The Depot Rink will also lengthen its public skating hours. Starting Nov. 16, the public skating hours will be:
Mon.-Fri. lunch skate, 11 a.m.-1:15 p.m.
Monday-Thursday, 8:30-11 p.m.
Friday, 6:45 p.m.-1 a.m.
Saturday, 2:30 p.m.-1 a.m.
Sunday 10 a.m.-10 p.m.
Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year\'s holiday hours will also be
extended.
