Nicollet Island/East Bank summer meeting is Wednesday

The Nicollet Island/East Bank Neighborhood Association (NIEBNA) Summer General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Assembly Room at Lourdes Church, 1 Lourdes Place.

State Sen. Larry Pogemiller is scheduled to open the meeting with a legislative report and question-and-answer session. Other agenda items include updates on the Cobalt/Lunds development project, Chute Square sidewalk, Northeast Main Street Bridge reconstruction and a discussion of the proposed De LaSalle High School Athletic Complex on Nicollet Island.

Candidates for the 3rd Ward City Council seat have been invited to mingle before the meeting, beginning at 6 p.m. The candidates may distribute literature but will not make formal speeches.

The Nicollet Island/East Bank Neighborhood is bordered by Nicollet Island, the Mississippi River, Central Avenue Southeast and the railroad tracks north of and parallel to 1st Avenue Northeast.  

Light refreshments will be served.
