Citizens for a Loring Park Community (CLPC) will discuss a proposed building moratorium in the Loring Hill area at its Land Use Committee meeting on Monday, April 25, 6:30 p.m. in room 207 of the Loring Office Building, 430 Oak Grove.

The moratorium would prevent new construction and expansion of development for as long as a year while CLPC completes a small area plan for the area, which runs roughly between West 15th Street and I-94. CLPC is likely to approve the moratorium, which will be the subject of a public hearing before the Minneapolis City Council's Zoning and Planning Committee on Thursday, May 5.

Architects for a proposed Lunds grocery store at 1201 Hennepin Ave. S. are also expected at the meeting. Construction of the store could begin as early as this summer.
