The WORLD OF WHEELS is back at the Minneapolis Convention Center Friday-Sunday April 8-10, this time with a blast from the past. Ben Jones, former Congressman and "Cooter" from "Dukes of Hazard," will appear all weekend long with the series' famed "General Lee" car. The event will also feature classics such as a 1940 Mercury, 1952 Cadillac convertible and 1955 Chevy "GT55."
For the future-minded, the XENO III concept car is a one-of-a-kind vehicle designed by and "built around the measurements of" creator Nick Pugh who, judging by the exoskeletal look of the vehicle, might be a giant bug. Only one exists, and each future car will be uniquely designed "around the ergonomics and taste of ... its owner."
The WORLD OF WHEELS is open Friday, April 8, 3 p.m.-10 p.m.; Saturday, April 9, 11 a.m.-10 p.m.; and Sunday, April 10, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Admission is $12 for those 13 and older, $6 for kids 6-12, and free for children younger than 6. For specific event and appearance times, visit www.autorama.com.
