Boat show in town this week

Dreaming of an escape from the deep freeze? The 33rd Annual Minneapolis Boat Show might be the answer. The Minneapolis Convention Center, 1301 2nd Ave. S., is hosting the boat show Wednesday-Sunday, Jan. 19-23.

More than six football fields of boats will be on display with about 200 exhibitors showcasing all sorts of watercraft, including powerboats, sailboats, canoes, kayaks and antique and classic boats.

Boat show hours are Wednesday, 5 p.m.-10 p.m.; Thursday-Friday, noon-10 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m.; and 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Sunday.

Admission is $9 for adults, $4 for children ages 5-11 and free for children under 5. Cub Foods is offering discount tickets for $2 off admission. For more information on the Boat Show, visit www.minneapolisboatshow.com.
