To prevent an attack, police advise residents to be careful when drinking alcoholic beverages with someone they don’t know, and be wary of leaving a drink unattended. Don’t drink anything that has an unusual taste or appearance, police say.
In the event of an attack, police advise the victim to look for distractions that allow time to escape or seek help. Police also recommend that a victim scream out and use self-defense techniques targeting an attacker’s vulnerable areas.
