Bike couriers from around the country will descend on Downtown streets this weekend for Stupor Bowl X — one of North America’s biggest alley cats (a race organized by bike messengers).

The race, sponsored by the Minneapolis Bike Messenger Association, starts 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4 at a Downtown location yet to be determined. Race registration is 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at One on One Bicycle Studio, 117 Washington Ave. N. Entry fees range from $10-$15.

The race, now in its 10th year, was started by Minneapolis bike messengers, but is open to all bicyclists.

Other event highlights include an open house for “Ten Years of Stupor Bowl,” a memorabilia exhibit at CRC Coffee Bar/Cykel Garage, 3346 Lyndale Ave. S. The open house is scheduled for 5-9 p.m.
