Fall on Your Knees: Six Yule Orientation

You're invited to Miss Richfield's Christmas party, "Fall on Your Knees: Six Yule Orientation," at her personal request. Miss Richfield sure knows how to make folks feel just like family. When she leads everyone in song and homey craft making, you'll laugh at her take on the Nativity scene (details not disclosed just to build the proper suspense, though I will say it diverges from your Sunday School memories).

Reminisce with Miss Richfield over delightfully eclectic video clips, including some wonderful bloopers (caught on candid camera!) and a few extra holiday treats.

Joining the craziness is dancing duo Megan McClellan and Brian Sostek and pianist Todd E. Price. And don't forget to bring along your specialty hot dish to share at the Hot Dish Party where you'll get the chance to mingle with celebrity guests.

Showtimes: Nov. 26-Dec. 20, Thursday 7:30 p.m., Friday-Saturday 8 p.m., Sunday 7:30 p.m. (plus Saturday, Dec. 4, 6 p.m. and Monday, Dec. 20, 7:30 p.m.) Illusion Theater, 528 Hennepin Ave. S. Hot Dish Party: Saturday, Dec. 4, 6 p.m. $21-$45. (Hot Dish Party $45.). 339-4944, Ext. 1.

'Imagination and Memory'

"Imagination and Memory" is an abstract play of the senses that combines everything from shadow puppetry to vaudeville acts.

Muralist TaCoumba Aiken, sculptor Lourdes Cue and puppeteer Michael Sommers join Interact Center for the Performing Arts thespians and visual artists for an evocative excursion through the past and make-believe.

This interactive performance and exhibition is no "This Is Your Life," wherein still-living ghosts stop by to say "hello" on national TV. Visitors from the past are merely poetic figments and settings are vague.

Soundscapes and installations rekindle and recreate memories, and performers adlib where apropos for an artful display of multimedia and interactivity suited to adults and children.

Thru Dec. 18, Thursday-Saturday 7:30 p.m., Saturday 3 p.m., Wednesday noon. Interact Center for the Visual and Performing Arts, 212 3rd Ave. N. Ste. 140. $12-$15. (Monday, Nov. 29 pay-what-you-can). For evening shows, call 343-3390, Wednesday, noon shows call 339-5145.
