At $368,000, JBI and Associates has the high bid to buy the city's former Animal Shelter Facility, 506 11th Ave. N.

The city set a minimum bid of $300,000 on the North Loop property, said Project Manager Rebecca Law. It received two qualifying bids; the other, from Steven Rorem, was $301,050.

The Transportation and Public Works Committee will hold a public hearing on the sale Tuesday, Nov. 9. The City Council is expected to vote on it Nov. 19.

James Schoffman of JBI said he did not want to comment on future plans for the site until he closed on the property.

The city moved the animal control facility to 212 17th Ave. N. earlier this year.
