Interested in local art and culture? Want to share your thoughts with others in the community? The Minneapolis Arts Commission has four open spots as a possible platform for you.
Two arts administrator positions and two layperson positions are open for those who have demonstrated a keen support for the arts. The mayor or the City Council approves the volunteer appointments.
The Minneapolis Arts Commission began in 1974 to foster local arts development, advise the City Council on arts-related matters, and stimulate Minneapolis residents' participation in and appreciation of the arts.
Commissioners must commit to eight to 10 hours per month, plus one Commission meeting on the third Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m.
