City Center's Princess Jewelry is moving out of its second-level space in the 40 S. 7th St. shopping center at the end of August.

The store's owner Robert Rhawie said he is considering moving his business to the Plymouth Building at South 6th Street & Hennepin Avenue or a spot in Edina.

Princess Jewelry carries fine jewelry, bridal jewelry and custom designed pieces.

He said he's moving the store after an eight-year run at City Center because of ongoing construction.

City Center is undergoing a $15 million overhaul designed to make it more convenient for shoppers and attractive to new tenants, such as an upscale grocery store.

The shopping mall has several vacancies and is looking to land new tenants, including an upscale grocer, a place for quick medical services and a daycare, among other things. The renovations are expected to be done by August 2005.
