Minneapolis Police recovered a stolen miniature bronze sculpture that was part of the recently installed Marcy-Holmes Neighborhood Gateway art project.

According to a Police news release:

The sculpture is 18 inches tall with a 10-inch-square base and depicts Northeast's Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Artist Aldo Moroni created it as part of a 23-piece series depicting historic neighborhood homes and sites. The pieces are located along 6th Avenue Southeast.

They were installed in mid-June. The neighborhood plans an August dedication.

The Our Lady of Lourdes sculpture

was located on a pedestal near the

intersection of 6th Avenue Southeast and 2nd Street Southeast. Someone returned the sculpture to Moroni's studio a few days later.
