The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board has announced the 15 sites that will get a once-over cleaning during this year's Earth Day activities.
The sites in and near Downtown are:
Volunteers of all ages should show up at any of the sites between 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. on April 17 to register and pick up supplies. A celebration with refreshments, music and interactive educational activities from 11 a.m. to noon follows cleanup at eight of the 15 sites. Groups of 15 or more can sign up for special sites by calling and leaving a message at 313-7722.
