The City Council's Public Safety and Regulatory Services Committee has revoked a liquor license for Brandon's 923 Club, 923 Washington Ave. N., for tax delinquencies.

A manager at the North Loop dance club, who did not want to be identified, said the tax issue would be "cleared up" in a few days when asked about the matter after the March 24 committee meeting. She would not comment further on the issue.

The Minnesota Department of Revenue directed the city's Licenses and Consumer Services Division to revoke the club's "Class E" on-sale liquor license by April 9.

The full Council was expected to take up the liquor license-revocation request at its April 2 meeting after this issue of Skyway News went to press.
