Charges have been filed in last week's bizarre assault that sent one victim to HCMC with non-life threatening stab wounds. On Thursday the 19th at around 4 p.m., a woman was stabbed outside a parking ramp at 800 Marquette Ave. by a middle-aged white male in a business suit. The suspect was described as being 30 to 40 years old with glasses and receding short brown hair. He wore a dark suit, blue shirt and carried a black bag.
The police received a tip on the identity of the suspect, who has been identified as Robert John Meyers. Meyers was already in custody on theft-related charges when the tip was received. He has been charged with Assault in the First Degree and Attempted Kidnapping.
