• The new CoCo Minneapolis coworking space on the former Grain Exchange trading floor.

• More food trucks.

• The opening of Steve Brown’s restaurant Tilia in Linden Hills.

• The OccupyMN protest at the Government Center.

• More bike lanes throughout the city.

• The passage of the Surly bill, which makes it legal for brewers to sell pints of their beer in the state. It’s expected to spark the opening of several new microbreweries.

• The Minnesota Lynx winning the WNBA championship game.

• The revival of the riverfront’s east bank with the revamed Aster Café and larger Wilde Roast café.

• A new vision called RiverFirst floated for the Mississippi; plans call for a new kayaking park and much more.

• No snow emergencies yet for the beginning of the 2011 winter season.
