City leaders and landscape architect oslund.and.associates revealed a new design for Peavey Plaza today.
There will be an open house at Orchestra Hall tonight, 4:30–6:30 p.m., to give the public a chance to review plans for the plaza at 11th & Nicollet.
"This design reflects the idea of a recessed urban plaza and its use as a performance and gathering space," said Tom Oslund, principal of oslund.and.associates, in a prepared statement. "The new plaza is about how we have evolved as a city, and the demands of how a 21st-century space should be articulated."
