There’s no shortage of cycling events in Minneapolis, but this one is a little bit different. For the second year, the NE Business Association will hold Pedal Pub races, during which teams compete to see who can most efficiently guide a bar on wheels from the Surdyk’s parking lot down Hennepin Avenue.

The event will be held on Sunday, June 19th from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Along with 700+ racers, the event will feature food from Chef Shack, beverages from New Belgium Brewing and music by Jack Klatt & The Cat Swingers. The event is free and open to the public, but there is a $150 charge to teams who wish to reserve a Pedal Pub.

Each team must be comprised of eight to 10 members with at least for females, and all participants must be at least 18 years old. Costumes and themes for teams are encouraged.

Early registration is strongly encouraged for anyone who wishes to compete. For more information, visit northeastminneapolis.com.
