Blood drive is Thursday
The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive
Downtown on Thursday, Feb. 5, at the Itasca
Building, 708 N. 1st St.
The blood supply in many communities has dipped to very low levels in part because winter donations typically lag and the flu season has deterred other potential donors.
Donors can safely give blood every 56 days, or six times a year. The process typically takes 30 minutes (that includes time for the interview and the blood donation).
The drive will run from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
To make an appointment, call the Red Cross at 651-291-4662.
