The Minneapolis Convention Center is hosting the eight Project Homeless Connect today.
An estimated 1,500 people experiencing homelessness (or near homelessness) are expected to be helped by volunteers at the event, which serves as a one-stop shop of services.
About 1,5000 volunteers and 400 service providers from 125 agencies are at today's event. It runs until 4 p.m.
