Hundreds of janitors and community leaders are kicking of a new green cleaning campaign tomorrow at Block E.

The janitors will highlight plans for reducing waste and energy consumption and using less toxic cleaning materials at 2010 Contract Convention for SEIU Local 26, which represents more than 4,000 janitors in the seven-county Twin Cities metro area.

After their meeting, the group will head to Nicollet Mall to get the word out about their new campaign.

Mayor R.T. Rybak, St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman and U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison will be at the event to show their support for the janitors' new plan.
