With the conversion of Hennepin and First avenues to two-way streets, three innovative changes are now in affect for Downtown cyclists — bike boxes; bike lanes between the curb and parked cars on First Avenue North; and a shared bicycle, bus and right-turning lane on Hennepin Avenue.

City staff will hold three informational sessions, and cyclists can bring their bikes and join city staff as they demonstrate how to use the new bike features.

Participants should meet at the Hennepin Avenue entrance to Central Library, 300 Nicollet Mall at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 19, noon on Oct. 21 and 8 a.m. on Oct. 22.
