The last time the Red Stag Supper Club threw a party, the host wasn’t able to make it.
Minnesota’s first LEED-certified restaurant wasn’t even open yet when it hosted the inaugural Red Stag Block Party last June. The 2nd Annual Red Stag Block Party is set for Saturday evening, and this year party-goers can actually step into the restaurant for an order of smelt fries and a beer.
Not that they would have to leave the party, where vendors will serve locally produced and organic foods to accompany live music, entertainment and art. Acts from the eclectic lineup of performers include: radio thespians from The Current’s Electric Arc Radio; E.L.nO. covering E.L.O.; members of the Doomtree hip-hop crew; and acclaimed Minneapolis pop group The Owls.
A portion of event proceeds will benefit the Minnesota Fringe Festival.
The 2nd Annual Red Stag Block Party is 5 p.m.–10:30 p.m. at the restaurant, 509 1st Ave. N.E. 767-7766.
