Sharing and Caring Hands announced Monday a donation of 800 toys that will go to children staying in the North Loop charity’s transitional housing facility and other homeless families.

Representatives from boat retailer MarineMax of Rogers, Minn., will present the toys 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sharing and Caring Hands, 525 N. 7th St.

Chuck Knapp and Jon Engen, hosts of the morning show on Twin Cities-area country music station Bob 106.1, plan to broadcast from the event. Their December 8 broadcast from MarineMax helped bring in the hundreds of toys.

Mary Jo Copeland, who founded Sharing and Caring Hands in 1985, will speak at the event, as well.
