Minneapolis declared a snow emergency Sunday, putting in place special parking rules through 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Cars were prohibited Sunday from parking on snow emergency routes while plows cleared streets of about 4.5 inches of snow from the weekend storm. Cars are allowed to return to snow emergency routes once the street is fully plowed.

Cars are prohibited from parking on the even side of non-snow emergency routes or either side of parkways 8 a.m.–8 p.m. Monday. Cars are prohibited from parking on the odd side of non-snow emergency routes 8 a.m.–8 p.m. Tuesday.
