Andrew Minck, one of seven candidates running for two citywide School Board seats, announced today he has suspended his campaign.
Minck’s education experience included a stint as an Arizona classroom teacher through Teach for America. He also worked for a time as co-director of a St. Paul charter school.
Minck didn’t explain why he was ending his campaign in the announcement e-mailed to reporters shortly after noon Monday.
Reached for comment by email, Minck wrote: “At this point I will let the release attached to my original email speak for itself. My primary goal is for the conversation about the school board race to be about ways we can improve outcomes for Minneapolis students, not about the political process of electing board members.”
The primary election is Aug. 12.
