Planners working on the Hennepin-Lyndale reconstruction project are holding an open house Tuesday, March 25, 6:30–8 p.m., at the Walker Art Center's Skyline Room to discuss the reconstruction project planned for the high-traffic area.

Planners are seeking feedback from people who frequent the area by car, bike and foot to hear about the challenges they face on the streets.

The city has secured federal funding for improvements on Hennepin and Lyndale between Franklin Avenue and Dunwoody Boulevard. This area sees more than 50,000 vehicles per day.

Proposed improvements for the area include new signs, better lane designations and improved crossings for bikers and pedestrians. Construction could start early 2015.
