Several sections of the Grand Rounds byway bicycle trails will be closed this summer and fall for construction projects.
The Minneapolis Park Board has already begun reconstructing, realigning and widening the trail that runs along the west side of Brownie Lake. That stretch will be closed through October.
Starting Sept. 3, the Park Board will be reconstructing the trails on Dean Parkway between Lake Calhoun and Lake of the Isles Parkway. At the same time, a portion of the trail near Cedar Lake’s Point Beach parking lot will be reconstructed. Those projects will run through October.
Finally, for a yet-to-be-determined week in September, the Park Board will resurface parts of the Lake Calhoun bicycle and pedestrian trails.
