Pacifier will relocate Hennepin store to North Loop

Pacifier is relocating its flagship store on East Hennepin Avenue to the North Loop.

Wife-husband owners Wing and Jon Witthuhn want a larger space for their flagship baby gift and clothing boutique. After nearly 12 years in the Nicollet Island-East Bank neighborhood, the location will move next door to D.NOLO near 2nd Street & 3rd Avenue.

“We’re sad to leave Northeast after being here so long, but it’s also a great opportunity for us,” Jon told The Journal. “We’re moving on up.”

The new location is more than twice as big and will give the Witthuhns room to expand Pacifier’s classes for new parents and children. They also plan to have a larger dedicated play area and retail space.

The two founded Pacifier in 2004 on University Avenue in the NIEBNA neighborhood and have since expanded to boutiques at 50th & France in Edina, the City Center’s skyway and Highland Park in St. Paul. Pacifier sells gifts for babies, young children and new parents, along with baby-focused furniture and accessories for nurseries, the car and more.

Jon said they’ll close the Hennepin store in early January and reopen in the North Loop soon after. A huge sign is already outside the new store.
