Technical cashmere clothing company Kit and Ace opened a store this week in the North Loop.
The new store from Kit and Ace, a growing Canadian brand from the son and wife of lululemon founder Chip Wilson, has been in the works since an announcement in March. The store is on the second floor at 113 Washington Ave., above Roe Wolfe.
The Minneapolis location is one of the first in the Midwest, but not for long. Several more stores are coming, including one this fall in the Mall of America, Minneapolis-St. Paul Magazine reported.
The brand sells apparel made from Qemir, a technical cashmere, which is meant to combine durable and machine-washable athletic material and more sophisticated fashion made of cashmere. Founder Shannon Wilson developed the material for the brand’s apparel, which includes designs from her son and co-founder J.J. Wilson.
Kit and Ace projects 50 stores worldwide by the end of the year.
