The second annual Riverfront Festival will take place this Friday, Aug. 1 at Sheridan Memorial Park on 1300 Water St. NE from 5:30 p.m. until sunset.
The Minneapolis Riverfront Partnership, the East Minneapolis Exchange Club and the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board are sponsoring the free, community event.
Food trucks from Stanley’s, Undead Frank’s, Scratch, Tin Fish and El Taco Riendo will be featured, and craft beer will be served.
Entertainment includes river-based acrobatics by the Twin Cities River Rats and musical performances from Tangled Roots (6 – 7 p.m.) and Wain McFarlane and Jahz (7:30 – 8:30 p.m.).
Guests can also drop their bikes off at the bike corral and receive a tune up.
The Sheridan Memorial Park honors all Minnesota veterans and recently celebrated its formal opening on June 28.
