A new Asian fusion restaurant chain called Ling and Louie’s will be opening its first Minnesota location on Nicollet Mall in mid-to-late August.
Ling and Louie’s will have more than 14,000 square feet of space, including sidewalk seating, indoor seating with a mezzanine area and a huge rooftop with space for more than 100 diners. City permitting records show nearly $3 million was spent in construction costs to renovate the space, formerly home to Jeromeo and James and Mary Laurie Booksellers at 921 Nicollet Mall.
This will be Ling and Louie’s seventh location. The menu has a variety of Asian restaurant staples like sushi, stir-fry and lo mein, along with American classics like a burger and meatloaf that are given an Asian twist.
The restaurant’s owners are Michael McDermott and Jason Merritt, who have stake in another Ling and Louie’s in Scottsdale, Ariz. and own Kona Grill and Rojo Mexican Grill.
Ling and Louie’s will be open from 11 a.m. – 2 a.m. every day.
