This fall InVision Distinctive Eyewear is opening a new store within the historic Northwestern Glass Company building at 219 2nd St. N.

The addition of InVision will bring another boutique to the D.NOLO cooperative, which already houses a quartet of fashionable women’s retailers in Bumbershute, Area, Bluebird Boutique and Kindred.

“I always kind of have my eye out for new, exciting neighborhoods to move into and I think the creative energy of the North Loop is just irresistible,” said InVision owner Anthony Bosca.

This will be InVision’s fourth location. He said the brands and styles offered will be consistent with the other stores, located in Edina, St. Paul and Minnetonka, but the store’s design will be tweaked to reflect the chic-industrial aesthetic in North Loop.

“The space has a beautiful, raw, industrial feel with tons of natural light, timber and brick. We’re making sure it reflects the character of the neighborhood,” said Bosca.

The store is being designed by Matt Kreilich of Minneapolis-based Snow Kreilich Architects.

InVision was founded in 1987 and Bosca purchased it 11 years ago. Each store is staffed entirely by opticians, who use networked, DSLR cameras and iPads to render accurate images reflecting how each pair of glasses look on customers.
