Sections of one of the world's largest construction cranes — the Terex Demag CC 6800 crawler — arrived at the Vikings stadium construction site today.

It will take 70 truckloads over the course of 10 days to deliver the massive crane, which is capable of lifting up to 1,250 metric tons, according to a news release from the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority

Once assembled the crane will be 400 feet tall. It will be used to erect the stadium's roof truss structure.

The 1.75 million-square-foot stadium is on track to be open by the beginning of the 2016 NFL season. It will host the Super Bowl in 2018.
