The rebranded lower level of the Union complex on the corner of 8th Street and Hennepin Avenue opens Aug. 20.
Former Heidi’s chef Stewart Woodman was hired in May to come up with something new for the first floor of Union after it struggled initially as Union, and again later as Union Fish Market. In July Woodman debuted the latest concept, called Workshop at Union, in a short pop-up run.
Now Workshop is back with an expanded run. It will be open 5-11 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and on nights when the Book of Mormon is playing at the Orpheum Theatre.
The menu will feature an evolving list of creative small plates, entrees and desserts priced from $4-18.
