The Minneapolis Planning Commission approved a proposal for a new six-story apartment building near Fulton Beer called Junction Flats at its meeting Monday night.
Dallas-based developer Trammell Crow Company has proposed razing the Regan Brothers Bakery building to make way for a new 182-unit apartment building at 643 5th St. N. The city's Heritage Preservation Commission approved the request to demolish the building on Aug. 21.
ESG Architects is designing the building.
Junction Flats will be just a few blocks from Target Field in the North Loop — a neighborhood experiencing a major development boom with many buildings getting converted to apartments and new construction projects underway as well.
Check out the development tracker in the Jan. 14 print edition of the Journal for updates on other projects.
