MLB All-Star Red Carpet Show will precede All-Star Game

Hall of Famer Rod Carew will be the grand marshal for the MLB All-Star Red Carpet Show along Nicollet Mall and 7th Street set for Tuesday at 1 p.m.

The show leads up to the All-Star Game at Target Field at 3 p.m.

All-Star players will ride in Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, Silverado and Camaro cars during the parade. It starts at Nicollet & 13th Street.

The 30 winners of People Magazine's All-Star Teachers campaign will also take part in the celebration. Each teacher represents one of the 30 MLB teams. 

The MLB will also be giving away a pair of All-Star Game tickets to fans along the Red Carpet Parade who show a high level of passion for baseball and the All-Star Game.
